Located along the northern shores of Lake Victoria, our school provides a breathtaking view, a quiet, serene and spacious environment conducive for learning.

Our dedicated staff has the qualification to reach and maintain academic expectations we set ourselves. Apart from the rich spiritual setting of the school as a result of both secular and religious curriculum, we engage in other co-curricular activities such as football, netball, volleyball, bicycle riding among others.

Our children do practical-learning activities where they engage in projects including art and craft, agriculture and others. We have clubs like the English language club, debating club, science club, and Lukman Primary School Dawa Association club (LUPDA). News reading, speeches, poetry and drama are carried out in assemblies to promote the confidence in children.

Lukman primary school, is one of the accredited primary school with a dual curriculum (both secular & Islamic theology) located in Entebbe – Wakiso Uganda.

We have clearly initiated a complete schooling programme, unique, that is meant to provide a holistic and overall development of our children, while embracing the spiritual (theology) and secular education provided for their nurturing for this world and in hereafter, as reflected in our school mission.

Lukman Primary School is one of the projects of Uganda Muslim welfare association (UMWA), a Muslim Non – government organization (NGO) registered in Uganda, to do Islamic charitable work. It was founded and registered in the year 1997.

There was great need to prepare a young generation that will inspire the Ummah.

A generation trained to be spiritually enlightened and have moral uprightness and with relevant knowledge of the dynamics of the material world required for competence, development and success.

By 1995, it was realized that almost 98% of the children of the middle class earners and rich were taken to secular schools which did not any Islamic knowledge at all.

Why the name Lukman?

When asked why he preferred wisdom to prophet hood, he said ‘If Allah was to assign me with prophet hood I would accept it and try to win His pleasure, but He enabled me to choose. I feared of being too weak for prophet hood, so I chose wisdom’

Dual Curriculum

The school curriculum offers spiritual THEOLOGY- (Islamic Studies) and SECULAR STUDIES. (dual curriculum). The finest details of both are dealt with here in. the theology curriculum is composed of subjects namely; Quran, Arabic studies, Islamic History, Belief Hadeeth and Islamic laws and practices. While the secular curriculum is composed of English Language, Mathematics, Social Studies and science.
